about

On Krishna Janmasthami in 2000, Swami Bhakti Vedanta Muni Maharaj was constructing the asram in Bhubaneshwar.
He absorbed himself in kirtans. By mercy of Sri Guru, the melody of the first song of the album “Bhajanamrta”, titled “Guru-caraṇa-kamala Bhaja Man” appeared in his mind. This song is written by Srila Gurudeva, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Maharaj himself. Since then, by mercy of Sri Guru and Gauranga, the melodies of the other bhajans in this album have spontaneously appeared to him one after another. He composed and sung them. Eventually he collected them and produced this attractive album in the year of 2002. Bhajanamrta is a sublime collection of nine selected tracks of Gaudiya bhajans. It is the first album Swami ji has ever brought out in his own voice. Before that he was composer of some bhajans in the albums of the other kirtaniyas in Iskcon.
